Our Learning Environment

Auckland is our city.  The Waitemata is our harbour.  Mt Wellington is our mountain. Tamaki is our river. Edgewater is our home.
Tamaki Makaurau te whenua.  Waitemata te moana.  Maungarei te maunga. Tamaki te awa. Edgewater te kainga.

We have a well-maintained site with ongoing upgrades to meet the needs of the 21st century learner.

In addition to modern classrooms and science laboratories, we have:

  • A modern library offering an extensive range of books and learning resources, including a suite of networked computers for students to use
  • Two well-equipped gymnasiums and weights training area
  • Music Suite, including a dedicated computer suite and a full range of brass, woodwind, stringed and keyboard instruments
  • A state-of-the-art digital recording studio
  • A modern technology block purpose built to reflect the demands of our Technology curriculum
  • Three classrooms set aside for the sole teaching of English to students for whom English is a second language
  • Attractive landscaped grounds, all-weather sports fields and Astroturf courts catering for a wide range of sporting activities.
We are planning new, vibrant and well connected learning spaces.

A Ministry of Education funded project to install lifts and walkways in our two storied Nelson blocks is now complete.  This has significantly modernised those blocks and we are well on the way to finalising the design of our flexible and innovative learning spaces.
